Retail Display Recoilers, Made in the USA Since 1965

Se-Kure Controls designs and manufactures retractable recoilers for retail display security at our own plants in Illinois and Michigan. A recoiler lets shoppers pick up and try a product, then pulls the cable smoothly back so the display stays neat and the merchandise stays secure.

We make mechanical recoilers that tether products to the fixture and electronic recoilers that connect to an alarm. Sizes range from the MicroMini for small accessories to the Heavy-Duty D for high traffic fixtures, and every model is built to handle thousands of pulls on a busy sales floor.

What to look for in a retail recoiler

Cable strength. Choose steel aircraft cable over plain cord. The Safe-N-Sekure Recoiler uses .0624 inch aircraft cable and the Heavy-Duty Mechanical Recoiler steps up to .125 inch cable.
Pull length. Match the pull to how far shoppers need to lift the product. The Safe-N-Sekure pulls a standard 48 inches; the Heavy-Duty Mechanical Recoiler pulls 36 inches.
Retraction force. The spring should return the cable smoothly without snapping the product back into the fixture. Heavier products need a stronger spring, such as the 2 pound spring on the SK-4544.
Mounting. For daily heavy use, fasten the recoiler mechanically to the counter or fixture. Adhesive alone is best kept for light items.
End fittings. Pick the end that suits the product: lasso, loop, eyelet or one of our electronic sensors.
Alarm option. Electronic recoilers connect to a Se-Kure alarm, so an alarm sounds if the cable is cut or the sensor is removed.
